Swimming Lessons Cancellation Policy
General Swimming Lessons Cancellation Policy: To help us fulfill our scheduling obligations to all students, and to maintain our schedule during our granted and approved pool permit hours, please be aware of the following cancellation policy:
**Please make every effort to attend all lessons. Make-up swimming lessons are not guaranteed and refunds are not issued for missed lessons.**
As a common courtesy, please assist us by following the guidelines below:
1. All cancellations must be communicated via email to: swim@onewiththewater.org or by calling the Swim Line at +1-323-364-SWIM (7946).
2. Cancelled Lessons without proper notice will not receive lesson credit and refunds are not issued. Your contribution will be considered a donation if you choose not to use your lessons. We will send you a tax-deductible receipt for your contribution.
3. No refunds will be given for any cancelled appointments or “no shows.”
Lessons at Public Pools
Where public pool space is rented, cancellations are not guaranteed make-up lessons and will not be given unless scheduling allows. The pools are very strict with us and it is very costly to the organization. We ask that you pay a discounted price of $50 for a make-up lesson. Please remember most weeks the schedule is full and there may not be space available to accommodate make-ups.
Lessons at Your Private Pool
1. We will do everything possible to accommodate a make-up lesson if you cancel. We ask that you cancel with at least 24-hours notice – unless case of illness/emergency – in order to receive a lesson credit.
2. If you cancel with less than 48-hours notice, lesson credit may not be given. Cancellations are NOT guaranteed make-up lessons and will not be given unless scheduling allows. You may have to pay $50 for a make-up lesson. Please remember most weeks the schedule is full and we may not be available to accommodate make-ups.
Cancellation by One with the Water®: On the rare occasion that One with the Water® cancels a lesson, due to circumstances beyond our control (emergency pool closure, contamination, lightning, swim meet, etc.), you will be entitled to a make-up lesson. We may substitute an instructor if necessary to avoid cancellation on our part.
Scheduled Vacations and School Breaks: We understand that many families will take trips or vacations during the year and during school breaks. We request that you provide as much notice as possible regarding these schedules, but at a minimum three weeks, so we can adjust your lesson schedule accordingly.
